Kyrgyzstan is a remote mountainous country bordering China and forms part of the Old Silk Road. Much of its rural population is still nomadic and this tour gives us the chance to understand their history and way of life whilst marvelling at the magnificent scenery in which they live.

We journey to Denmark via northern Germany and include journeys on the Mollibahn and Rasender Roland. We will visit the Danish National Railway Museum, cruise on a paddle steamer and take a journey on Denmark’ s longest narrow gauge steam railway before crossing the Baltic Sea by ferry.

This wonderful new tour begins in Halifax, Nova Scotia and takes the Ocean route down the east coast of Canada with stays in Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. Then board the famous Canadian train west to Vancouver, travelling through the Prairies and Rockies, ending with a visit to Whistler.

Narrow Gauge Steam in Eastern Germany

This popular tour combines high speed rail with local and narrow gauge lines that have survived the Cold War and are still operational. We stay in Dresden and Stralsund to ride nearby heritage railways, and of course charming Wernigerode to explore the scenic Harz Railway. We also include journeys on the Döllnitzbahn in Saxony.
