Travel by plane and train to enjoy the cosmopolitan culture of three of Spain's popular cities whilst sitting back and delighting in the Spanish landscape in between. Sightseeing tours and visits can be arranged in advance.
ITINERARY
Day 1
Fly direct from Birmingham to Barcelona with Vueling Airlines and stay at a city centre hotel for 2 nights.
Day 2
Free day in Barcelona. Sights worth visiting include the Sagrada Familia basilica and the Gaudi museum. The most famous street in town is La Rambla with the Barri Gothis (old town) area lying adjacent.
Day 3
Morning departure by train on the AVE service from Barcelona to Seville, arriving mid-afternoon. City centre hotel for 3 nights.
Days 4 & 5
Free days based in Seville. The city has a wealth of narrow streets and small plazas to explore. Amongst the main sights are the cathedral, La Giralda and the Alcazar palace-fortress.
Day 6
Leaving Seville after breakfast on the AVE service to Madrid you arrive at lunchtime. City centre hotel for 2 nights. Free afternoon to explore.
Day 7
Full day based in Madrid. The top 10 city attractions include the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor and the Fuente (fountain) de Cibeles.
Day 8
Fly from Madrid to Birmingham via Barcelona with Vueling Airlines, arriving early afternoon.
